The wife of Arkansas State coach Blake Anderson traveled with the team for its opener at Nebraska on Saturday night less than a week after undergoing breast cancer surgery.

Wendy Anderson, originally diagnosed in April, underwent surgery on Monday in Memphis, Tennessee. On Thursday Blake Anderson tweeted that postsurgery tests indicated she was cancer-free.

The Nebraska student section, known as the Iron N, sent its regards to Wendy Anderson on a sign hung in the southeast corner of Memorial Stadium.

The team has pink helmet decals with a breast cancer awareness ribbon and boxing gloves with her initials. Before the Red Wolves left their hotel to go to the stadium, players presented Wendy with a framed print of the decal.
