There is a new tradition at the end of the first quarter during Iowa football games at Kinnick Stadium.
The new Stead Family Children's Hospital opened earlier this year, with some of the windows overlooking the stadium. Some suggested that fans wave to patients, which they were more than happy to do.

The university said in a release it will promote its Touchdowns for Kids program in which fans can pledge to donate a dollar or more for every Iowa touchdown this season.
